AI-assisted news with visible sources
MERIDIAN is a live-format news station that gathers public reporting, groups related coverage and presents concise summaries for global, United States and Iowa audiences.
How stories are selected
The station monitors a broad set of public RSS and Atom feeds. Coverage rotates across desks, regions, primary outlets and topics to avoid repeatedly favoring one source or subject.
Source attribution
Every story names the contributing outlets and links to original reporting. Source-provided images are credited on screen. Generated fallback artwork is explicitly labeled “AI ILLUSTRATION.”
AI presenters and summaries
MERIDIAN presenters are generated characters, not real journalists. Summaries are based on available source text and should not be treated as a replacement for the original reporting.
Verification and uncertainty
Single-source stories are identified as such. When sources use uncertain language or details differ between outlets, the station preserves that uncertainty instead of presenting it as confirmed fact.
Advertising
Paid placements are separated from editorial content and visibly marked “PAID MESSAGE.” Advertisers do not control news selection or story wording.
